Senior Full Stack Engineer @ Bedrock

Bedrock is seeking a motivated, experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer at our rapidly growing startup to generate and nurture our B2B sales pipeline, in addition to building a world-class customer experience. He or she will be responsible for developing and building demand generation and digital marketing programs to meet revenue goals. Responsibilities include developing a strong operation backbone of marketing tools and technologies to help the company scale.

The Senior Full Stack Engineer will create and execute on the demand generation strategy for the business. A successful candidate will have a keen understanding of how to efficiently and effectively manage marketing resources to maximize business growth. He or she will define, create, execute and measure integrated marketing campaigns across a variety of channels with a focus on targeting sales managers in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) vertical.

Sales Development Rep

Bedrock Analytics provides a service that takes syndicated and retail data (Nielsen, IRI, Spins, Whole Foods, etc.) and transforms it into dynamic selling stories for consumer product goods (CPG) sales managers, and provides powerful market insights for marketing and category managers.

Bedrock is looking for an exceptional individual to act as the liaison between our Marketing and Sales teams. Your role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns and meeting sales quotas. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers, from first contact until you transition them to a Sales Manager as a qualified lead. If you are motivated and results-driven, and enjoy working in a team environment, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will boost sales and contribute to our long-term business growth.

ABOUT YOU AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
  • Contact potential clients through cold calls and e-mails

On the back-end, you have worked with Play or Spring Boot framework to build microservices. On the front-end, you've worked with libraries and frameworks like Backbone, and you are familiar with newer frameworks like React and Angular. You have a track record of delivering web applications that people enjoy using, and that support enhancements over time.

If you worked on machine learning and statistical modeling in the past and you enjoyed it, there will be many interesting challenges here.

Job Function Details

  • Designing, developing, and implementing software code for company’s primary web application; adding new features to the application, maintaining existing functionality, and ensuring that the serving infrastructure scales with the growth of the business
  • Programming in Java and utilizing Spring Boot MVC framework
  • Writing front-end code in JavaScript and frameworks including JQuery and ReactJS
  • Developing and maintaining software code for the back-end (servers and databases) of the web service using relational database technologies including SQL, to access and store business data in multiple PostgreSQL database clusters and the AWS data warehouse stack
  • Utilizing NoSQL database technologies to access metadata in DynamoDB and cached data in Redis to make sure that any backend changes made do not result in adverse performance that could lead to service disruption
  • Developing and implementing integrations with third-party service APIs including integrations with syndicated data provider gateways and processors and retail portals such as Walmart Retail Link and Whole Foods Data Portal
  • Performing iterative design cycles and on-time feature releases using agile methods of development
  • Participating in daily Scrum team meetings to coordinate immediate software development tasks as well as biweekly development sprint review and sprint planning meetings to help define work items the engineering team will commit to in the medium term
  • Participating in team and project management meetings to define the long-term project timeline and major milestones
  • Maintaining continuous integration and deployment tools; creating unit and integration tests for written software code; ensuring that any such tests are compatible with continuous integration and deployment tools that company employs including Jenkins

Category Analyst

Bedrock Analytics is seeking a talented analyst to join our team in our Oakland offices. The analyst will interact with CEOs, Sales and Marketing VPs, Directors of Analytics and other decision makers at our CPG customers. The main responsibilities of this role entail helping CPG customers structure their syndicated data, provide guidance on how best to pull data and provide analytical consulting services to key customers. Bedrock works with some of the most innovative brands in the consumer packaged goods industry.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales and software teams to translate customer requirements into data requirements that work on the Bedrock platform.
  • Create SPINS, IRI, or Nielsen syndicated data reports and import onto Bedrock Cloud-based software platform for consumer products clients.
  • Maintain data integrity and maintenance of customer reports.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer onboarding process.
  • Exposure to fast-growing disruptive consumer goods companies’ senior leadership
